Contributions des traceurs radioactifs a l''etude des mouvements sedimentaires en Baie de Seine ArchiMer
Avoine, J; Caillot, A; Hoslin, R; Larsonneur, C; Massias, L; Quesney, M.
Sediment dynamics have been studied from 1979 to 1984 by the use of radio active tracers, to quantify sediment transport and to know the limits of tides and swell action in terms of sediment composition and depth. This technique has allowed the study of sand drifting (between -2 m and -15 m) and resuspension of muddy sediments. The effects of sediment movements on estuarine sediment accumulation are included in this report.
Tipo: Text Palavras-chave: Radioactive tracers; Sediment movement; Sediment dynamics.

Evaluation des apports fluviatiles dans l''estuaire de la Seine ArchiMer
Avoine, J.
Economic activities and urbanization along the Seine watershed, are the main factors of increased river discharge with natural deposits. A long term supervision of this river has allowed the assessment of the liquid flow rate, the solid load, and the metallic pollution.
Tipo: Text Palavras-chave: Seasonal variations; Trace metals; Sediment transport; Fluid flow; Brackishwater pollution; Estuarine sedimentation; River discharge.

Influence des apports fluviatiles en Baie de Seine ArchiMer
Avoine, J; Crevel, L.
Hydrological study of Seine Bay displays two areas differentiated by salinity distribution. One has marine characteristics and the other is under fluvial influence. In this paper the authors give the main results of exchanges between the environments, obtained by the study of water dilution, solid particles dispersion, and their contribution to sedimentation.

La dynamique sedimentaire dans les estuaires de la Baie de Seine. Consequences sur l''environnement ArchiMer
Avoine, J; Dubrulle, L; Larsonneur, C.
Tides and fluvial flow rate, factors of estuarine dynamics, explain physicochemical and biological properties, silting and clogging of these environments. Seine Bay is a macrotidal environment into which discharge several estuaries (Seine, Orne, Veys Bay). After speaking about the characteristics of water and sediment dynamics, the authors deal with the effects of man-made modifications and the necessity to protect the environment.
